In boardrooms, broadcast studios, and backrooms of political power, there’s a pattern that’s become all too familiar: people in charge doing just enough—but not enough.
It does seem safer to do "just enough". But, that's about the same as doing nothing. Especially now, when Republicans are doing "everything, all at once" we really need to have some backbones and stand up against them. That's one value of having two political parties; one will be the opposition.
Shining the light. Thank you Dr. Jones. It's so pathetically do-nothing-good-for-people that people can't see beneath the photo ops and headlines. But there's nothing good for Arkansas happening behind the facade.

This is an excellent metaphor for what I see happening. A veneer of supporting working class people covering an agenda of supporting donors.
