Thank you for this! I would add that fear is the oxygen feeding this authoritarian push! When we let fear keep us from showing up, we hand over our power and let others decide the future we all have to live in. We need everyone to be brave. I wholeheartedly agree that silence is not neutrality...and would add, it is surrender! We need a party that is willing to lead us in the streets and to inspire others to turn their fears into real action! All they have to do is show up...I'll bring friends and follow!
Dr. Jones really hit the nail on the head. Let me add a few additional forms of authoritarianism in action for the world to see. During the recent “pandemic” many of our constitutional rights were restricted. The federal agencies in Washington DC hurled mandates that were totally ridiculous, unnecessary, restrictive, and unconstitutional on society throughout the country. One governor went so far as to restrict citizens from buying garden and fishing equipment from big box stores. Arbitrary rules were imposed that restricted visitation in hospitals, and caused patients and loved ones to pass away without their families.
Even today female athletes in high schools and colleges are being forced to compete with biological males in sports events. Those in authority are defending biological males who think they are female ( or rather they “say” that they think that they are female) are allowed in female lock rooms and other intimate spaces. In some states schools are allowed to assist students to transition without parental consent.

Thank you for this thoughtful analysis and for staying in the fight for Arkansans!
